SIMON LANE has been MD of tws since 1996. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Association of Consulting Engineers.

He is vastly experienced in the structural design of most categories of new buildings and the modification of existing including those of an historic nature. Past projects include the DHSS in Whitehall with Architect William Whitfield and currently the 1000 bedroom Westminster Park Plaza Hotel in London.

Simon offers technical advice regarding acquisition or disposal of buildings, undertakes detailed feasibility studies prior to development, investigations into building defects for owners & insurers and as acting as expert witness in the event of dispute.

He acts as an examiner for the Institution of Civil Engineers professional examinations.

He carries out reviews of technical papers submitted for publication into the various Institution of Civil and Structural Engineering Journals and Proceedings.

He leads a focused and talented group of fellow professionals providing practical hands on advice and design solutions to many commercial and institutional clients.
