BOB TAANK is a Chartered Engineer with an MSc in Advanced Structures. He is a former First Prize winner in the British Constructional Steel Association Student Prize Scheme, Civic Trust Award and Structural Steel Design Award and winner for the Volvo headquarters building in Buckinghamshire.

He has been a Director of tws since 1998 specialising in building structures and brings a practical and experienced approach to the most complex of problems.

Bob has worked on an array of diverse projects and is as comfortable tackling refurbishments, including the retention of historic listed building facades, as new build. He has been responsible for the design, construction and supervision of both civil and building works for Local Authorities, commercial and institutional clients, involving road and drainage works, building on contaminated land and mining sites.

He oversees the training of graduate engineers guiding them towards Chartered status.
